Why is the Bloc involved at all?

Last time I checked there was still only one country. It’s called Canada.

On Sunday, April 10, I was watching the news and found myself listening to Mr. Duceppe as he was talking about switching the French language debate from Thursday to Wednesday as it would interfere with a NHL playoff game.

He went on to say that “All I’m asking is that the debate take place Wednesday so that Quebecers have as much access to this debate as Canadians, we all know that hockey is very popular in Canada and in Quebec.”

In other words as far as Mr. Duceppe is concerned there are two countries involved, Canada and Quebec.

Last time I checked there was still only one country. It’s called Canada.

Mr. Duceppe is a separatist and a hypocrite. He does not have problem getting a pay cheque from Canada, nor will he and his fellow separatists have any problem collecting a big fat indexed pension when they retire, courtesy of the Canadian taxpayer.

And he was allowed in the leadership debate? Only in Canada.
