Armstrong to enter Softball Hall of Fame

Qualicum Beach resident Joy Armstrong will be inducted into the B.C. Softball Association Hall of Fame.

BCASA president Jake DeWitt informed Armstrong of her induction to the hall.

“Your extraordinary accomplishments in the sport of softball stand out as an inspiration to all British Columbians, but particularly to those who are part of the softball community,” DeWitt wrote in his letter to Armstrong.

The induction ceremoney will be held at the Coast Conference Centre in Kamloops on Oct. 20. Armstrong has been invited to attend.

Meanwhile at her residence at The Gardens at Qualicum Beach, a celebration was held to honour Armstrong’s induction into the BCSA Hall of Fame.
