Arrowmsith Tennis Club hosts first round-robin game of season at Springwood courts

Club’s summer season is now in full swing

The Arrowsmith Tennis Club held its first round-robin of the season on July 3 at Springwood courts in Parksville.

There were close to 30 players participating in the traditional mixed doubles social event, geared towards getting the members to know each other.

The club summer season is now in full swing.

Social tennis is now played at the Qualicum Beach courts every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon, and at Springwood courts every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon.

There is also intermediate tennis played every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 12:30 p.m. to 2:40 p.m. at Springwood tennis courts. It is open to women, men and juniors who are at the intermediate level or 3.0 or higher on the USTA ranking ladder.

As well, there is a doubles ladder played Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. This is for players 3.5 to 4.5 level. Those wishing to play must be members of the Arrowsmith Tennis Club. For more information call John Laverge at 250-607-8324.
