The Arrowsmith 18 Hole Ladies Club had their AGM and wind-up Oct. 10, and the sun shone while they played their final nine holes.

Winners of the RCGA Pin Rounds was a tie between Colleen Pierlot and Pat Meadus.

B.C. Pin Round Winner was Leslie Baird, and the Dorothy Olive Franklin trophy went to Diane Guerrier.

Leslie Baird picked up another award for Beat the Champ, and Club Championship awards were presented to, ‘C’ Flight winners: Beth Rodella, Low Gross, and Jan Walker, Low Net.

‘B’ Flight: Enid Lemanski, Low Gross, and Chris Clemens, Low Net.

‘A’ Flight: Medissa Morrow, Low Gross, and Pat Meadus, Low Net.

The overall Low Net Winner was Jacqui Johnson, and the new Club Champion for 2013 was Shawne Munro.

Acheivement awards were also presented.

In other news, Bye Bye Birdie was the theme for the final day of play for the Arrowsmith Nine-Hole Ladies Club.

Played out Sept. 24, it was, said the club’s Joan Jiggins “a good day. No rain and fun and games for all.”

In the end, Joan Harvey was awarded the ‘Eileen Brown Memorial Trophy’ for a second year, “Joan had a great season and well deserved.”

Winner of ‘Heads and Tails’ was Norma Nash.

“The course was immaculate,” said Jiggins.

Club members donated $200 to Janet Mattis and Marilyn Sommers, who will be taking part in the Run for the Cure Sept 28. In total, the two ladies raised $1,780 for the cause.
