The second annual Cross on the Commons saw close to 450 riders, from age five to 75, participate in Cyclecross races on Sept. 30 near the Qualicum Beach Civic Centre.
The event is the third leg of the Cross on the Rock eight cyclocross series on Vancouver Island and is hosted by Arrowsmith Cycling Club.
Races feature beginner to expert categories, as well as a short race on a modified course for kids under age 12.
