Parksville Lawn Bowling Club staged its first true tournament after almost a year and a half of COVID-19 restrictions and shutdowns.
The two-day mixed triples tournament event was held July 17-18 under sunny skies and perfect playing conditions.
Finising in first place was the team of Diane Cruickshank, Barry Knowles and Mary Card, beating the team of Keith Terlson, Wayne Larocque and Kent Card. Third place was taken by Bill Burgess, Trevor Motley and Olav Skjelbred with fourth place going to Chuck Benson, Athol Trickett, and Beverley Benson and fifth to David Perry, Luise Norman and Ken Hillman.
