Qualicum Beach ladies club honours Bev Lasure’s long play

Bev Lasure

The Qualicum Beach Memorial Golf Club ladies’ league honoured a long-time member with an honourary distinction recently.

Bev Lasure, who has been the club champion three times and has her name on a number of other trophies on the shelves inside the clubhouse, was named an honourary member of the 18-hole ladies’ league for life.

Lasure, who’s been golfing at the course for 40 years, can be seen playing 18 holes at Qualicum Beach Memorial three times a week, all year round.

She was surprised at the luncheon, which was held during the club’s opening day. Ladies’ captain Barb Borritt presented her with a certificate marking the honour.
