Jenkins rink undefeated heading for finals

The Salmon Arm representatives at the BC Senior Curling Championships are 7-0 going into the finals.

Skip Sandra Jenkins throws a stone for third Kate Horne and second Wendy Cseke to sweep during a curling match against the Noble rink at the Salmon Arm Curling Centre on Tuesday

Home ice advantage might have something to do with the Jenkins rink’s seemingly unbeatable performance at the BC Senior Curling Championships held at the Salmon Arm Curling Centre this past week.

The team which consists of Skip Sandra Jenkins, Third Kate Horne, Second Wendy Cseke, Lead Carol Murray and fifth Gerry Kiy, has won seven consecutive games on their way to the final draw tomorrow at 2 p.m.

Team Jenkins will face Team Noble, from Qualicum and District Curling Club, in the finals.

The winner will represent BC at the 2017 Canadian Senior Curling Championships in Fredericton, New Brunswick.

Team Jenkins beat Team Noble 5-1 in their meeting earlier in the tournament.
