Some 500 area kids representing eight different elementary schools took to the fields behind Ballenas Secondary last week for the big annual District 69 Track & Field Meet.
According to BSS athletic director John Philip the track meet was started back in 1987 by current BSS Principal Don Boyd and has been running every year since then.
