More than $10,000 worth of donated items are being auctioned for the Oceanside Community Track fundraiser, set for Thursday, Dec. 9.

The auction will be held virtually at the OCT website oceansidecommunitytrack.ca/auction/ and in person at Pacific Shores & Spa located at 1600 Stroulger Rd. in Nanoose Bay, between 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. A vaccination passport is required for entry to the event, and COVID safety protocols will be in place.

“Support for the auction has been phenomenal,” said Sarah Russick, auction organizer. “We want to thank all our amazing donors and know our community will support the fundraiser and maybe find some great Christmas gifts as well.”

One hundred per cent of the funds raised will go towards the $1.5-million cost to upgrade the dilapidated cinder track at Ballenas Secondary into a six-lane all-season rubber track.

Some of the items to be auctioned include a one-night stay at Tigh Na Mara, two nights at Waters Edge Shoreline Suites, two nights at Ocean Sands Resorts, Island Marine Adventures Tour for four people, six-month membership for Bestseller Academy, Music Life Coach, four rounds of golf at Fairwinds Golf Club, Freezer Pork Pack from Springwood Farms, and more.
