In their recent trips to the southern part of Vancouver Island, the Generals have had very little success. losing some close games.

Their latest heartbreak was against the host Victoria Cougars, falling 3-2 on Thursday, Sept. 29.

The Generals dominated the game offensively, outshooting the Cougars 36-12. In the first period, the Generals launched 15 shots against the Cougars but were not able to keep the pressure on as they spent much time killing penalties. They were able to grab a 1-0 lead on Carter Johnson’s marker late in the frame.

The Cougars bounced back in the second with two goals and shut out the Generals strong offence to enter the third period with a slim 2-1 lead. Johnson found the back of the net again to tie things up at 2-2 but the Generals lost control less than a minute later when Cougars scored what ended up to be the winning goal.
