The league will run from Sept. 4 through Oct. 7 and is open to all players Grades 8 to 12 living in the Royals catchment area, which includes Nanoose Bay, Oceanside, Port Alberni, Comox Valley, Campbell River, and Powell River.

Registration to join is now open. Players who want to attend the Royals Fall Ball from outside the catchment area will require a release from their local PBL franchise.

Fall Ball sessions serve as try-outs for the 2019 season. The rosters for the senior, junior, and bantam prep teams will be selected and players are expected to make every effort to attend as many evaluation sessions and games as possible.

The cost is $300 per player for the five-week program and each player will receive a t-shirt and hat. Practice sessions will be held every Tuesday and Thursday for senior and junior players (grades 10-12) while for bantam players (grades 8-9) it will be every Monday and Wednesday. Weekend practices and scrimmages will be scheduled on non-game days. Practices and home games will be held at Springwood Park in Parksville, Highlands Park in Comox, and Nunns Creek in Campbell River.
