PARKSVILLE — The sun was out and so were the kids for Oceanside’s Save-On-Foods Generals’ third annual playoff kickoff street hockey party Saturday.
“It was a spectacular day, we had a huge turnout of young kids, the weather was amazing. It was an excellent day — we raised about a hundred dollars for Oceanside Special Olympics,” said Gens’ head coach and GM Dave Johnston.
A fun day of shinny, Save-On-Foods served up a couple hundred free hot dogs and drinks, and the arena concession staff was instrumental in helping out.
