Provincial lawn bowling tourney begins in Parksville

Local club welcomes B.C. Senior Women's Triples Championship July 5-7

High-calibre competition comes to the Parksville Lawn Bowling Club’s greens beginning today when the club hosts the B.C. Senior Women’s Triples provincial championship tournament.

The three-day tournament continues through Thursday at the club, while the Senior Men’s Triples provincials will be held just down the road at the Nanaimo Lawn Bowling Club.

In Parksville, the women begin play today with games at 1:30 and 4:30 p.m. On Wednesday, game times are 10 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Thursday’s final playoff schedule is yet to be announced.
