Give it a curl. That’s what the Qualicum & District Curling Club wants you to do at its open house on Sept. 22. There’s no cost to try it out.

The club is inviting people to come out to try and learn about curling. An introduction to curling mini-clinics will be held 1-3 p.m. The equipment will be supplied and participants will get their chance to enter the closest to the button contest.

Demos will be held 2-3 p.m. featuring regular and junior curling, stick curling and mixed doubles.

There will be free coffee and donuts and also a door prize of dinner for two at Boston Pizza to be won.

The loung opens from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. where you can enjoy a refreshment while watching a short video about curling.
