Due to staffing shortages, the Ravensong Aquatic Centre in Qualicum Beach faces temporary closures and cancelled sessions.

The Regional District of Nanaimo recreation department indicated in a press release the closures were in order to comply with protocols outlined in provincial health orders.

Dean Banman, manager of recreation, said they don’t know exactly when the cancellations will occur, as it depends on the number of lifeguards and instructing staff available.
