The Ravensong Waterdancers Synchronized Swimming Club wants to give newcomers an opportunity to try out the sport.
The club is holding a ‘see it, try it’ event on Oct. 5 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Ravensong Aquatic Centre in Qualicum Beach.
“It is a chance for individuals of all ages who are interested, to get a chance to try out synchronized swimming,” said Becky Baldwin of the Ravensong Waterdancers.
To those who are interested, the event is free. A waiver needs to be filled out prior to event, so organizers advised those participating to come early at 6:15 p.m.
As well, proof of vaccination will be required to enter the Regional District of Nanaimo facilities that include the Ravensong Aquatic Centre.
