“We went down to inglorious defeat at the hands of Courtenay O-55s to the tune of 5-1, but on the positive side we have a game at noon on Sunday against the O45s.”

Ian Miller and the Shady Rest Eagles may have had their wings clipped on home field last Sunday, but the always optimistic keeper likes the Shadies chances in this weekend’s rematch back down at QB Rec Fields.

Last Sunday’s match saw Courtenay take a 2-0 lead into the half — Steve Busswood scored the Shadies’  lone goal at the 70 minute mark.
