The 2013 Canadian Track & Field Championships wrapped up in Moncton, N.B. this week with a number of outstanding performances by athletes who secured their positions on the International Association of Athletics Federations’ (IAAF) World Championship team, and the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) World Championships team.
The IAAF World Championships are slated for Moscow Russia Aug. 10-18, and the IPC Worlds in Lyon, France, July 20-29, and Nanoose Bay will be represented at both, with Olympian Michael Mason punching his ticket to Moscow in high jump, and world record holder and new MLA Michelle Stilwell moving on to Lyon in wheelchair racing.
