The U16/17 Upper Island Storm are keeping their game sharp for the BC A Cup Provincials next month.

The Storm, whose members consist of players from Parksville, Qualicum Beach, Nanaimo, Cowichan and Port Alberni earned a spot in the provincials after winning the Island Championships last May.

The three players from Parksville Qualicum Beach in the team are Olivia Williams, Catalina Magana, and Kylee Smith. Coach Shawn Fiddick is also from Parksville Qualicum Beach.

Fiddick said they are busy training and preparing for the provincials that will take place in Richmond July 4-7. It will be hosted by the Richmond Soccer Association and games will be played at Hugh Boyd and Minoru fields.
