Tigers take a bite out of the Oceanside Sharks

Local squad struck first, but then the opposition floodgates opened wide

The Saanich Tigers Midget B lacross team was in Parksville Saturday, and they took a swipe at the Oceanside Sharks at Howie Meeker arena.

Oceanside struck first, scoring a goal quickly into the opening period — but then the flood gates opened and Saanich jumped out to a large lead.

Oceanside players spent a lot of time in the penalty box through two periods of play.

The players, however, looked to be having a good time, despite the lopsided score.
