PARKSVILLE — From the desk of Oceanside Minor Hockey’s (OMHA) Cathy Van Herwaarden comes word Oceanside Place is going to be a busy place this month as it hosts back-to-back-to-back minor hockey tournaments.
• March 17-19 - Peewee Recreational Hockey Tournament, 12 teams.
• March 20-22 - Atom Recreational Hockey Tournament, 10 teams.
• March 23-25 - Initiation and Novice Jamboree, 25 teams total
These are the final three local minor hockey tournaments for the 2011/2012 season — all told OMHA will have hosted six of them.
“We’ve combined some of the divisions which makes for big groups and lots of fun, and that’s what it’s all about,” said Cathy.
