Qualicum Beach's Bavaro Auto Body and Auto Glass has won its second AutocheX Premier Achiever Award.
The downtown shop won the award as one of 12 auto body shops in the province with the highest rating in a post-service survey done by Mitchell Repair Solutions.
The award honours auto body shops that consistently achieve high customer satisfaction scores.
"For the eleventh year in a row, we are delighted to sponsor the awards and recognize the tremendous accomplishments of Bavaro Auto Body and Auto Glass and all of the 2012 winners," Mitchell vice-president Jim O'Leary said in a news release.
They awarded 400 shops out of 50,000 across the continent.
"I'm not good at promoting ourselves like this, but I guess it does put us in an elite group," said Violet Klyciak, who bought Bavaro with her husband Gary in 2001.
"We don't go out of our way to ring our own bell but I really want to thank the customers and the community for this," she said.
The survey scores are based on the shop's ability to keep customers informed, providing on-time deliveries and repairs and the customer's willingness to recommend the shop to others.
Mitchell bills itself as a leading provider of technology, connectivity and information solutions to the property and casualty claims and collision repair industries.
