Tanya Ogmundson, the manager of Pacific Shores Resort and Spa in Nanoose Bay, received an award for excellence recently at a company gathering in Miami, Florida.
Interval Leisure Group, which describes itself as a leading global provider of non-traditional lodging across a broad spectrum of the vacation industry, recently recognized 20 of its most outstanding employees at a company-sponsored event at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach. These individuals, including Ogmundson, were honoured with Crystal Jade awards, the highest recognition of ILG's Club Excellence program.
Started in 1997, ILG says its Club Excellence is a global recognition program that acknowledges employees who have shown outstanding performance or exceptional customer service and demonstrated the ability to make a positive difference. Each year, Crystal Jade winners are invited as honoured guests to attend a special awards celebration and leadership seminars.
• Lewis Modern Home Renovations of Qualicum Beach was the winner in the Constriction and Alteration category of the Better Business Bureau's Torch Awards at the annual celebration hosted at the Union Club of B.C. on Nov. 7.
"The Torch Awards recognize businesses that have made an exemplary commitment to honest and ethical business practices and consumer service excellence," Rosalind Scott, president and CEO of BBB serving Vancouver Island, said in a news release.
