Parksville grads are ready to celebrate, and the community can see them off into adulthood at the grade parade on Saturday, June 30.

Starting at 5 p.m., Ballenas Secondary School grads dressed in some of their finest outfits, will be riding all manner of vehicles from Springwood Elementary down to the Parksville Community and Conference Centre (PCCC).

In the past, vehicles have included fire trucks, boats of various sizes pulled behind trucks, atv’s, convertibles, semi trucks, horses, floats and more.

The parade will head down Despard Avenue from Springwood elementary to Moilliet Street, go north up Moilliet Street, then turn onto Jensen Avenue West and head toward the PCCC.

The first grads are expected to reach the red carpet at the PCCC by about 5:15 p.m.
