Fairwinds Golf Course and Benz Lounge and Bistro will put on their Scottish finery Jan. 25 with a dinner and dance to celebrate Robbie Burns Day.
Celtic Chaos will provide entertainment for the evening, including the traditional piping in of the haggis. Spoken word performer John Beaton will address the haggis with the historic poem Ode to the Haggis by Burns, the legendary Scottish bard. In addition to music from the Celtic Chaos ceilidh band, Scottish country dances will be called by veteran dance caller Janetta Begg.
Doors open at 5 p.m., with the piping in of the haggis and a series of toasts ushering in the traditional Scottish buffet dinner at 6 p.m.
Ticket are on sale now at $45 + GST, and are available at Benz Lounge and Bistro at Fairwinds in Nanoose Bay.
