Residents and staff at Berwick Qualicum Beach came together to raise over $3,000 for the Oceanside IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s on May 31.

The walk took place virtually this year, with people participating online. The organization encouraged people to: do jumping jacks; lift weights; do a dance; stroll around the block; take the stairs; do yoga and meditate –whatever works for them in their situation. From there, people can take a photo or video and upload social media with the hashtag #IGWalkForAlz.
People donned silly hats and tutus while walking around Berwick in whatever ‘silly’ way suited them to raise money for the cause.
