Council approves display of red dresses in Qualicum Beach town hall

Move made to recognize International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women

The Town of Qualicum Beach council has endorsed a request to hang red dresses in the foyer of the town hall.

The Canadian Federation of University Women for Parksville Qualicum had asked council’s permission to allow them to hang the red dresses in recognition of International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.

It will be on display from Nov. 25 to Dec. 10, 2020.

Council unanimously approved the display of the dresses for the two weeks.
