A trio of enterprising Ballenas Secondary students made the most of the weekend snowfall in the Parksville Qualicum Beach region.
Grade 11 students Brett Wildeman, Skylar Hansle and Brayden Wildeman went from house-to-house, offering to shovel driveways, leaving the amount of payment up to the residents.
They said they did the same thing last year, making $150 apiece for approximately five hours of shovelling. Flurries are forecast again for Friday of this week.
