Sally Whibley wants to help her neighbour and she’s hoping other Errington residents do, too.

The owner of Smartfitt Holistic Fitness on Errington Road is holding a very special garage sale on Sunday to help an area family in distress.

“We are having an indoor garage sale to raise money for a local family in Errington where the husband is just coming home from the hospital, ” Whibley said. “All the proceeds are going to the family to help them out.”

Rob Leibeling, Whibley continued, was undergoing treatments for bone cancer and is unable to work, leaving wife Cheryl the only breadwinner for the family.

“I just think they need some extra help,” Whibley said. “Myself and two or three of her other friends are doing the best we can to help.”

Whibley said the team has banded together to gather items for the garage sale, which will take place at the gym, located at 994 Errington Road from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 25.

“We have a good selection of items,” she said. “Donations are still coming in, but so far we have household items, clothes, books, and a set of outdoor glass tables, so there’s lots of variety.”

In addition, she said anyone who uses the gym’s infrared sauna on Sunday will see $5 of their fee go toward the family as well.
