Haven Society receives $17.6K donation from Royal LePage Parksville-Qualicum Beach Realty

Funds go toward programs and services in central Vancouver Island

The Haven Society Victim Services in Parksville now has some extra money to provide services to those in need.

Royal LePage Parksville-Qualicum Beach Realty recently presented a donation cheque of $17,650.50 to the Haven Society.

According to a public release issued by Sarah Bramley, the fundraising consultant and events planner, the funds will go toward programs and services the society provides to the central Vancouver Island community, including the Haven Society Victim Services in Parksville.

The Parksville location runs and operates a safe house to shelter low to medium risk clients who are fleeing gender-based violence.

Stays at the shelter are seven to 10 days where staff are available to assist in connecting residents to other community resources. The Parksville location also operators the community victim services program, open to any individual experiencing gender-based violence within their family.
