Learn tai chi for a good cause

Parksville-April 29 an event about the spine, the meridian system and Tai Chi takes place in Parksville.

Come learn about the spine, posture, chakra, the meridian system and more at a presentation at St. Edmund’s Church in Parksville on April 29.

Parksville Tai Chi is bringing in Nanaimo chiropractor Norm Detillieux who will also discuss the benefits the body gets from tai chi. Detillieux owns and operates Lifehouse Chiropractic Studio in Nanaimo.

The event happens April 29 at 1:30 p.m. and is by donation to the local food bank.

Parksville Tai Chi is starting a beginner class May 1. Those classes run from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Thursdays at St. Edmund’s. Regular classes run Tuesdays at the same time.

The cost is $20 per month, $50 for three months and all proceeds go back to the community. There is also a Friday practice class and one at the Community Park band shelter. For more information and to register call Eva Grodt at 250-954-1002 or e-mail evagrodt@telus.net.
