Life celebration for Major Ed Borchert planned May 1 in Qualicum Beach

Major (Ret’d) Ed Borchert will be remembered at the Royal Legion Branch 76 on May 1 in Qualicum Beach.

The family of Borchert invites those who knew him to honor his life at a Legion memorial service from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Throughout Borchert’s life, he made a significant impact on the community and the numerous organizations he was part of.

He served in the military for 32 years and continued to support veterans’ rights even after retirement.

Borchert continued a life of service by advocating for First Nations peoples, seniors, families and individuals with disabilities.

The Legion is located at 180 Veterans Way.
