The Qualicum Beach Museum is very much immersed in the present, at least in terms of technology, says Netanja Waddell.
The museum manager said she took full advantage of Facebook and other media avenues when trying to get the word out about this Saturday’s Children’s Day at the Museum.
“We are using social media,” she said. “We live in the 21st Century. It’s a wonderful way of spreading the news and letting everybody know.”
She said the museum has started posting historical photographs on its Facebook page.
“The public has reacted very well to that,” she said. “We had a picture of the eagle tree from 100 years ago that had 10,000 views.
