Parksville residents can now sign an official condolence book for Queen Elizabeth II via the city’s Let’s Talk Parksville website. The queen died on Sept. 8.

Available online as a form on the Government of Canada’s website, the book of condolences gives members of the public an opportunity to pay their respects and express memories, according to a news release by the city.

“The death of Her Majesty the Queen is significant for Canadians as it marks the end of the longest reigning Sovereign in Commonwealth history, ushering in a new era with a King,” the release read. “The City of Parksville offers deepest condolences to the British people and the Commonwealth on this profound loss.”
