Regional library system expanding

Lots of projects on the go with the Vancouver Regional Library system

The Vancouver Island Regional Library system is expanding, with several projects on the go.

In a letter to the Regional District of Nanaimo board, executive director Rosemary Bonanno noted several communities are either opening new libraries or expanding current facilities.

She said projects in Bella Coola and on Quadra Island are nearing completion while Cowichan Lake and Nanaimo North are at the development permit stage.

Meanwhile, Cumberland is at the request for proposal stage.
