The Mount Arrowsmith Salvation Army food bank and soup kitchen remain open, providing no-contact food hampers by appointment and takeaway meals.

However, some changes have been made at the food bank and kitchen in response to the increase in demand.

The food bank is now open from Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Those in need of food and essential personal or household items are asked call 250-248-8793 to make an appointment.

The soup kitchen is normally open Monday to Wednesday and Friday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to provide takeout meals. They have extended lunch service to include Thursdays throughout April.
