The SOS has relied on volunteers for 50 years, and a number of those volunteers have been working to govern the organization.

Directly preceding SOS’ 50th annual general meeting on June 20, about 30 past and current SOS directors gathered to look back at their work with the organization, to reminisce and share stories.
Garry Cox was re-elected to continue his role as the chair of the SOS Board. Martin Fereday will continue to serve as first vice-chair, Elaine McKinlay as second vice-chair, and Bonnie Wallis will continue as the secretary treasurer.
