St. Mark’s Community Fair is gearing up for its 47th year in Qualicum Beach.
This year’s event features more than 130 vendors selling baking, clothing, books, CDs, jewelry, china, glassware, garden items, furniture, antiques, crafts and more.
Vendors will be set up along Veteran’s Way, as well as in the Community Club, St. Stephen’s Curling Rink and the Royal Canadian Legion No. 76. Holy Roller pies will be sold out of the Community Hall, as will the book nook and the china and glass table.
There will be a pancake breakfast, as well as burgers and hot dogs at the Legion, featuring entertainment from the Qualicum Beach Pipe Band.
Food will also be available outside and downstairs at the curling club.
Parking is available behind Kwalikum Secondary School at 266 Village Way, as well as at the Civic Centre at 747 Jones Street.
A shuttle will be available from both locations to the fairgrounds.
Proceeds from the fair will go towards supporting community organizations in the Parksville-Qualicum Beach area, including Eagle Park Health Care Facility, Forward House, Manna Homeless Society, Oceanside Hospice Society, Oceanside Stroke Recovery, School Meal Programs (KSS and Errington) and YoungLife.
The fair takes place on Saturday, July 27 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Memorial Avenue at Veteran’s Way.
