Oceanside Building Learning Together is holding its third family-style barn dance on Saturday, Sept. 15.

Taking place at Tiger Lily Farm (1692 Errington Rd., Errington), the event will feature live music by Blue Dog Ramble and the Apollos, as well as demonstrations and square-dancing lessons by the Sand Dollars Square Dance Club.

The event, running from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., is a family-friendly event which runs as a fundraiser for Oceanside Building Learning Together’s Words On Wheels (WOW) Bus program. It’s a free early learning outreach program that travels every week to communities from Nanoose Bay to Bowser.

The event will also include dinner and refreshments available for purchase, as well as a silent auction which includes a chance to bid on having the WOW bus come to a birthday party.

Tickets are $15 per person, while children 12-years-old and under are free.

“We feel so lucky to be able to offer a family friendly event and hope everyone will come out to Tiger Lily Farm to have a dancing good time, and at the same time support the WOW Bus program.

Tickets are on sale at Oceanside Building Learning Together’s main office at Family Place (494 Bay Ave., Parksville) and at both Munchkinlands during program hours, or online at www.oblt.ca/barndance/.
