BC World Music Collective to bring songs of Latin America to Errington

Errington will play host to musicians from all over the world.

The BC World Music Collective will bring the music of Cuba, Mexico, Brazil, Africa, U.K. and Canada to Errington Hall on April 30. The group’s music features percussion, guitars, bongos, trombone, jarana, pandeiro, fiddle, marimba, congas, bass, trumpet and mbira.

The collective is comprised of Adonis Puentes, Celso Machado, Toney Aganaba, Kurai Blessing Mubaiwa, Tom Landa, Pedro Mota, Robin Layne, Liam MacDonald, Nick La Rivier, Kalissa Landa and Chilliwack-born First Nation rapper Ostwelve, of the Sto:lo/St’at’imc/Nlaka’pamux territories.

The group came together in the summer of 2015, when they performed at the Vancouver Island Music Festival.

Tickets are $30 at Shades of Green, Errington Store, and $32.50 online at https://ErringtonHall.Tickit.ca. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m.
