Beach Flicks in Qualicum Beach wraps up with The Guard

Popular movie series set for one last blast on April 27

Season two of Beach Flicks wraps up with a bang and a showing of The Guard on Friday, April 27 in Qualicum Beach.

From all the reviews it’s a real crowd pleaser and was a huge hit at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival.

The Guard is a lively Irish crime comedy staring Brendan Gleeson as Sergeant Gerry Boyle who’s an unconventional small-town cop on the West Coast of Ireland.

The audience is sure to enjoy this blend of absurdity, dark humour, and emotion — it’s a two thumbs up film to wrap up the successful season.

The Guard hits the screen Friday, April 27 with doors opening at 5:30 and the film at 7 p.m. sharp at the Eaglecrest Golf Course in Qualicum Beach — tickets are only $6.
