Local band Lost in the Revolution along with local artist, DJ Fack, are putting on a benefit concert for the Young Arts Market (YAM) this weekend.

Although proceeds will go to the YAM the show is licensed and for adults only. Lost in the Revolution band member Davin Rathlou was involved in starting up the old youth centre called The Back Door, and said it’s important to support these kinds of places for youth to hang out at and express themselves.

“I just think these things are good for kids, they need a place and a outlet, and there is no other real youth stuff to do around town,” he said.

Lost in the Revolution plays a mix of many music genres but is based on rock n’ roll, with some blues and metal influences. Rathlou said both his band and DJ Fack play original material making them a good match to perform at the show. The artists will alternate 45 minutes each throughout the night.

The show is this Saturday, March 12 at The Legion in Parksville located at 146 West Hirst Ave. Tickets are $5 at the door, photo ID is required. the show runs from 9 p.m. to midnight. For more, visit the facebook page at www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=164544163596291.

Lost in the Revolution plan on performing at YAM in the near future.
