Early in the pandemic, Naylor spent about three months recovering from a hip replacement surgery. Born with a disclocated hip, she knew one day she would need a surgery. Naylor began to notice problems with it right after Diva Dolls’ last pre-pandemic show.
She was inspired to form Diva Dolls 12 years ago after seeing a Victoria-based troupe perform in Nanaimo.
She found her first members through friends and newspaper ads, but soon the idea began to spread through word of mouth and Naylor had a cast of seven, although people tend to come and go over the years.
Tickets are $22.23 and available online.
