Knox United Church is excited to welcome back Edie Daponte and her four-person band with a brand-new show for Parksville Qualicum Beach live-music enthusiasts.

Facility co-ordinator for the church, Karen Freeman, wrote in an email to PQB News that the Vancouver Island jazz-singer is bringing her new show, ‘What the World Needs Now’, to Knox United Church on Saturday, Feb. 12, at 7 p.m.

“The format of the show has the audience transported around the world to celebrate some of the most beloved love songs in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and German. Edie pays homage to classic love songs with her soaring and stirring vocal renditions,” wrote Freeman.
