Fall Fair happening Saturday in Lighthouse Country

Children are free and will find a number of fun activities, while parents can shop and check out the British Car Club

Visit the 43rd annual Lighthouse Country Fall Fair this Saturday, Aug. 31 and find a host of activities, local art, live entertainment and the products made and grown in the region.

The annual Pet Parade will march at 10:15 a.m., led by Daisy the Cow. Artisans will be selling a variety of locally produced items indoors, as vendors sell their wares from booths outside. There will also be a variety of food on-site.

Bardo the owl from the North Island Wildlife Recovery Association will make an appearance at the fair while the association educates on wildlife in the region. The Wizard and Enchantress will be there with balloons and other entertainment and the chainsaw carvers will be transforming cedar into art on the upper field.

The British Car Club will be there with 22 eye-catching vehicles and a professional photographer will be at the fair taking and emailing free photos.

Children 12 and under can enjoy the fair for free and will find a petting zoo, pony rides, a bouncy castle and games. Admission for adults is $5.

Live music will also be performed indoors and out throughout the day, while people peruse interesting exhibit entries like freak vegetables, needlework and photography.
