Kwalikum Secondary School jazz program students blew audience members away during an annual benefit concert for the program on Friday.

Talented students from the KSS Junior and Senior Bands proved to the audience why they recently won eight awards at a Jazz Festival in Surrey, while the vocal jazz group Soundscape also received enthusiastic applause for their performances.

During the musical night a three-course gourmet meal was served by students, created by chef and musician Trevor Hooper.

Following the last performance by the Senior Band the audience came to their feet, many requesting an encore amongst loud whistles and cheers.
