Film delves into the early years of John Lennon

Beach Flicks’ next film Nowhere Boy surrounds John Lennon’s late teen years and the events that unfolded prior to his creation of The Beatles.

The story is based on a memoir by Lennon’s half-sister Julia Baird, and has drawn high praise from critics. The film stars newcomer Aaron Johnson as John Lennon, Kristin Scott Thomas as Lennon’s aunt and Thomas Sangster as Paul McCartney.

The movie will be shown at the Eaglecrest Golf Course in Qualicum Beach on Friday, March 4.
