Parksville Qualicum Beach artist studio tour begins July 16

Tour runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday

Artists from around Parksville Qualicum Beach will open their studios for two days to give residents a chance to chat with them about how they create their works.

The studio tour, which runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 16 and July 17, will showcase the work of 24 artists at 14 locations, according to a news release.

“This year, the artists have also agreed to donate a piece for a silent auction,” read a release from Larry Stuart. “To raise funds to support a severely disabled citizen in the area, so come buy a piece of art and support someone in need of financial assistance.”

One option is to pick up a brochure/map and start the tour at 856 Terrien Way in Parksville, the release said.

Brochures will also be available in advance from the McMillan Art Center (MAC) at 133 McMillan St in Parksville and The Old School House Arts Centre (TOSH) at 122 Fern Rd. in Qualicum Beach.
