Society of Organized Services’ (SOS) will mark 55 years of caring in the Parksville Qualicum Beach region with a special Legacy Concert on June 28.
The concert will honour SOS’s past and put a spotlight on the future of the organization, according to a news release by SOS.
SOS has partnered with Berwick Parksville Retirement Community to host the concert in the Berwick Theatre, featuring renowned Canadian actor, musician, activist, and Companion of the Order of Canada, Tom Jackson.
The performance will take place thanks to the presenting sponsor, Raymond James Qualicum Beach Branch.
Jackson has been honoured with several achievements including the 2007 Juno and Gemini Humanitarian Awards and the Governor General’s Performing Arts Award for Lifetime Artistic Achievement, to name a few.
Prior to the concert, Jackson will make an appearance during a private reception at the Berwick Topside Lounge with SOS representatives, corporate and community leaders, sponsors, dignitaries and media.
